ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES

CCSF and SFUSD both have extensive programming to ensure that students with disabilities can succeed in meeting their life and educational goals. Services, accommodations, and special classes are FREE.

CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE)  

Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway programs prepare adults with job skills to start a new career, advance in their current job, or explore new ways of working. Noncredit classes are FREE. Credit CTE classes are free to San Francisco residents under the Free City program.

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL)

Adult students can learn English, or improve their English skills (speaking & listening, reading & writing) by taking FREE noncredit ESL classes online, or at CCSF’s Ocean, Mission, Downtown, Chinatown, and John Adams campuses.

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA or EQUIVALENCY

CCSF’s Transitional Studies Department provides FREE classes for adults to earn a high school diploma, or prepare for the high school equivalency tests. Instruction is offered online and at the CCSF Mission Campus.

K-12 SUCCESS

SFUSD and CCSF partner to provide dual enrollment, on-ramps to college classes, and work experience opportunities for adult students in childcare and education careers. CCSF offers FREE parenting and child observation classes to teach parents and guardians how to help their K-12 children succeed in school.

Learn about the United States naturalization process and prepare for the The U.S. Citizenship exam by taking FREE ESL Civics courses at CCSF.
